Turbine innovation and variations selectable from Configurator Tool
BactoVessel facilitate a number of different radial mixing turbine principles: Rushton, Jacob, Smith, Hjort and Bakker. Some 150 different turbines is available. All with identical basic dimensions:
- Outside Diameter, OD mm: 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100 and 120
- Number of blades are 6 or 8 depending on principle
- Blade shapes: flat, symmetric half circle, symmetric concav, asymmetric concav
- Jacob´s flat blade angled in 75 degree from vertical
Height of blades is fixed according to the turbine diameter. Dimension of turbine and blade designed according to illustration under Turbine principles. If an axial mixing Marine impeller is required in the BactoVessel this is available in a 3 blade / 16 degree blade angled design.
Rushton design, symmetric flat traditional design. Typically a Marine impeller is needed for axial flow contribution.
Jacob's design, symmetrical and 8 blade flat angled 75° for very high power input. Typically in SUF height ≤320 mm no Marine impeller is needed for axial flow contribution.
Smith design, symmetric half circle. Typically in SUF height ≥320 mm a Marine impeller is needed for axial flow contribution.
Bakker design, asymmetric concav. Typically in SUF height ≥400 a similar OD Marine impeller is needed for axial flow contribution.
